Come stay in our National Historic Register Home in the Stockade District of Uptown Kingston, steps from all the shops and restaurants. You will enjoy a restful night sleep on a  new queen mattress with new pillows, 100% cotton sheets, and down comforter. Curl up with a book near the bay window in your private sitting room, or enjoy a tete a tete with your loved one. This romantic suite boasts a beautiful four-poster bed, a private sitting room with 11 ft ceilings, 10 ft. pocket doors, antique furniture, as well as a private bath with subway tile shower and tub.  This room is also graced with two impressive paintings by Kevin Paulsen, which are also for sale.

You will have a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, as well as your own private sitting room. The foyer and main hall-way are shared with other guests.  We are usually around, we will give you your space, but are easily reached by text or a knock on the door to help you with anything you may need while you are here. We are happy to give you a tour of the neighborhood and show you our favorite spots if you would like.  The Stockade District is the coolest neighborhood around. There is something for everyone! Music lovers will be thrilled to see live music at BSP (Back Stage Productions) or take in a concert at the recently renovated UPAC, which also has theatrical performances throughout the year. First Saturdays are known for Kingston's Gallery Walk. Art lovers can check out the latest shows, drink some wine, eat some cheese, and buy something to bring home. For those who like their art on a larger scale, there are some AMAZING murals to check out all over town. Thanks to the popular O+ festival visitors to Kingston are treated to seeing the work of some of the country's best mural artists. They are definitely worth a walk around town to see up close. History buffs will enjoy the Senate House Museum and Park right across the street from our house, as well as the Four Corners which is the ONLY intersection in the country that has 4 stone houses (one on each corner) that pre-date the Revolution.  The Matthew Pearson House is one of them and is open to visitors, another is the new and very popular Rough Draft Book Store and Bar where you can read a book and have a coffee or beer and a little bite to eat as well. Kids will love seeing history come alive at the Antique Fire Truck Museum, where they can hop in and ring the bell, see the horse-drawn water tanks, as well as a huge collection of helmets and such. The Catskill Mountain Railroad offers an opportunity to ride the rails and enjoy some of the local scenery that the whole family will enjoy. Be sure to check out their special holiday themes such as the Polar Express. Kingston also boasts the best Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings! Not to mention the food! World-class restaurants are on every block! We have coffee shops, organic eateries, and a vintage cocktail bar that has been featured in the New York Times! All this within only 3 blocks of our house! If you want to see the other end of town you will be treated to more great restaurants, shops, a maritime museum as well as a trolly museum, and a beautiful walkway along the waterfront!  We are easily accessible by bus. The Trailways station is only a few blocks from our house. There is so much to do in our neighborhood, and it is very walkable. There is also a city bus, and a county bus, so you can easily explore some of the surrounding towns like New Paltz, Rosendale, Saugerties, Wookstock, and Phonecia all without needing a car! The Amtrack station is also just across the river in Rhinecliff, and for a small fee we can arrange to pick you up there as well. For those coming by car, we have off street parking.  We have some limited parking behind our house. It is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please make sure you park on the left-hand side of the lot, behind our house (the brick one). Our neighbor gets very upset when people park on their side. if a spot is not available please use street side parking, which is available only 1 block away on John St, Fair St, or further down on Clinton Ave, as well as the rest of the stockade area. there are also several lots only a few blocks away.
